Cocaine Arrest; Man Caught Driving Stolen Car; and Marijuana Motorist: Crime Blotter

Cocaine blues

Thomas J. Kell, 18, of North Canton, was pulled over for reportedly speeding in the 1200 block of South Main Street on June 30, but the minor citation was the least of his troubles at that point. 

Officers also alleged Kell was driving drunk, and arrested him after they reportedly found a bag of cocaine in his car.

Kell was charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; driving while under the influence; a first-degree misdemeanor; and drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Busted

Brandon H. Dunivant, 30, of Canton, was arrested June 26 in the 100 block of Easthill Street SE for allegedly driving a stolen Nissan Pathfinder and driving under suspension.

Dunivant was charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor. 

The SUV was turned over to the Stark County Sheriff's Office and returned to its owner. 

Marijuana motorist

A 24-year-old North Canton man was arrested in the 1500 block of North Main Street on June 26 on multiple drug-related minor misdemeanors. 

He was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. 

The suspect was then handed over to Norton due to an outstanding warrant.
