Katie Alberti, Neighbor

I recently earned my Masters of Art in Teaching, Integrated Language Arts Curriculum and Instruction, from Kent State University. I also earned my bachelors degree in magazine journalism from Kent State in 2007.

Before returning to school, I spent 18 months working as a general assignment reporter for The Times-Reporter in New Philadelphia, Ohio. I then took a position as an interactive content editor at GIE Media in Richfield, Ohio. However, when the economy declined in 2009, I was laid off and decided it was time pursue my graduate degree so I may teach my love of journalism to others.

I'm a Pittsburgh native and a die-hard Steelers fan. When I'm not busy with school or writing for Patch, I'm spending time with my family and dog, Cubbins.
