Brutus attended an articulation agreement signing at the college Tuesday and had a little fun in the lobby beforehand
It wasn't all business Tuesday when Ohio State and Stark State signed an articulation agreement. Brutus the Buckeye accompanied OSU President Gordon Gee to Stark State and rallied the crowd of students and school officials before the signing that day. And, since we're all about having fun here at North Canton Patch, we couldn't help sharing these submitted videos with our viewers. We owe North Canton Patch blogger Tamie Eynon a thanks for sending in the footage! You can learn more about the articulation agreement in this Patch update.

As expected, I am sore. Yep, everything hurts except my elbows ... and maybe my teeth. My teeth don't really hurt either. But I have to say, it was worth it

Some people can just go out and run a marathon. They train, they plan, then they run it. I, on the other hand, must make this an Event (yes, with a big "E").

Any suggestions on what to do when the marathon is just over a week away and you have decided you don't want to run anymore?

Little did Tamie Eynon know the path she would embark on and just how many rites of passage she would go through to becoming a gross runner

This is a tale of an epic failure of a marathon training run that has not left me feeling like an epic failure

If marathon training hurts this much, why do so many people do it?

Our last three bloggers were two teachers and a technology director within the North Canton City School District. (And yes, we're OK with that.)
It wasn't until I persuaded Eric Curts to blog on North Canton Patch that I realized we've got a little bit of a pattern going here. Curts, technology director for North Canton City Schools, jumped on board to blog just after North Canton Middle School teacher Ashley Villers and Orchard Hill Elementary School teacher David Russ signed on. What's really cool is these three people, although they have the same employer, will bring you blogs that are worlds apart. Let me explain. Villers published her first blog Oct. 24. It detailed the efforts her eighth-grade art students put into a bottle tree made of recycled glass bottles as they learned about how artists explore issues of environmental concern. She'll continue to keep us updated about …

It's OK if you didn't see every story we published this week. But do yourself a favor and catch up on these top stories before we launch into another news-filled week!
1. Did you see how many comments we got Friday for our latest Whiz Kids feature? The Brighter Side Band does loads for the community, and they’re good students, to boot. You can join in and congratulate them here. 2. Rob Netro’s sushi photo gallery knocked our socks off this week. The colors were so vibrant and the photos so interesting we had to include the Viewfinder gallery in our Week in Review. 3. North Canton Patch let the blogs out. When we launched our first blogs Wednesday, we had two bloggers ready to go — Tamie Eynon and Timothy Moore. We added one more to the mix — Ken Palosi — and he kicked off his first post Sunday. 4. We shot some video inside the Hoover building when Ben Suarez of Suarez Corp. Industries announced his plan …

North Canton Patch launched its first two blogs today through Local Voices — our way of getting more of your thoughts and opinions on the site
If you scroll down our home page, you'll notice something new on North Canton Patch. It's you. Well, maybe not you, per se. But it's some of you and it could be you, specifically, if you're interested. We call it Local Voices, and it's a forum for local bloggers (and would-be bloggers) to give their opinions on music, local politics and whatever else tickles their fancy. Now, we don't want you to misunderstand us. North Canton Patch will continue to feature North Canton news, but we also wanted to give local writers a chance to express their opinions. In addition to featuring our own bloggers, we'll also occasionally show links to other local bloggers who deserve your attention. There's a lot of great stuff out there and sometimes it's …
