Here are this week's most bizarre police calls, reports and charges. All information was provided by police reports from departments in Patch communities. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. I hope that isn't a new prize- On Jan. 21, the manager of Chuck E. Cheese in Fairlawn called police to report someone parked outside the exit smoking weed in their car.   When the officer arrived, he walked up to the car and stated he could smell marijuana smoke coming out. The officer asked the woman inside, 30, of Akron, if she was smoking weed and she turned over a half-burnt marijuana cigar. Then she gave officers a false name and age. Police Say Man Shot, Nearly Killed Friend After Game: Fugitive of the Week

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Anthony Dowell II

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is on the lookout for Anthony Dowell II. Dowell is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Shaker Heights Police Department for attempted murder. According to a press release from the task force, Dowell shot—and nearly killed—a friend after a fight over a dice game back in October. The friend got on an RTA bus and got away.  Dowell, 30, is about 5’11” and 170 pounds. He’s thought to be hiding in the Cleveland area, and he used to live near the 1000 block of Roanoke Road in Cleveland Heights.  Individuals can call the task force with information at 1-866-4WANTED or text a tip to 847411 (tip411), keyword WANTED. Tips can stay anonymous, and there is a reward available.
