Readers, I have enjoyed being a part of the North Canton community and covering the news in this city so much, but it's time for my farewell. Monday was my last day as the editor of North Canton Patch (but don't worry, I'll be forever a reader). Now I'm off to my next adventure, which is in Springfield, MO. As I prepare for the move, I wanted to say goodbye to those who have made covering North Canton such an awesome experience. And yes, I'm talking about all of you guys. You never know when moving to a new city how well you'll fit in, or how well you'll make friends. Welcome to North Canton Patch! I'm Morgan Day, local editor for the site. I spent the last two years at a small daily newspaper in Lancaster, Ohio, covering crime and courts. But I'm originally from Sherrodsville, near New Philadelphia. I got my bachelor's degree in journalism from Kent State University, and I even attended the Stark Campus of Kent State right here in North Canton for one year. I am so excited to live and work in this city. North Canton has the best of two worlds: One that's full of hustle and bustle and another that's quiet enough to feel like a real home.
