WATCH: Kids Make Cyclones, Volcanoes & Dig for Fossils at Science Fair

The math and science fair at the Mary L. Evans Early Childhood Center provided some hands-on fun for kindergarteners Wednesday

Kindergarteners got a chance to create cyclones, dig for fossils and peer through microscopes at the annual math and science fair at the Mary L. Evans Early Childhood Center Wednesday. The event provides hands-on lessons as students move from station to station. It's not a small feat organizing the event, said Justin Woods, a parent volunteer. "It took a lot of people to get this together," he said. "First of all, Miss (Laura) Luikart and Sarah Mallamaci helped me do this. Probably without them I couldn't have gotten this put together." Students from Hoover High School and North Canton Middle School also lent a hand, and volunteers from Walsh University's Early Education Center participated as part of classwork and community service. The Math and Science Fair at Mary L Evans Early Childhood Center is a fantastic experience for young children. The preparation for the fair requires the dedication of parents such as Sarah Mallamaci and Justin Woods. This is the second fair organized by Sarah Mallamaci.
