Meteorologists are warning that southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts reaching up to 45 mph will rattle the region today. The strong winds are being caused by an arctic front that has moved into the area. The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. today. Furthermore, the wind is expected to be joined by precipitation. Meteorologists predict that rain showers will turn into snow by the mid-morning today. The snow will persist through Wednesday with about an inch accumulation in North Canton today and less than an inch accumulation Wednesday.
