The school board approved the hiring of Jamie Smart to work no more than 110 hours doing public relations and communications projects this year
The North Canton City School Board recently signed off on a public relations hire to provide some "extra hands" within the district. According to the school board's most recent agenda, the hiring of Jamie Smart as a public relations/communications consultant for no more than 110 hours was up for approval. If you were at the Hoover High vs. Wilson, Ont., home football game on Sept. 7, you probably got a chance to see Memorial Stadium's new LED scoreboard in action. The YMCA will keep its location inside the Charlotte Building — where it operates its preschool and daycare — after the board approved a year-long lease

And then on June 28, the board agreed to continue its lease agreement for two months. North Canton City Schools chose not to move forward with a lease agreement that would have given the YMCA another 14 months at its home inside Charlotte building, which the district had talked about razing after the switch to all-day, everyday kindergarten.
