Owner Larry Owens gives an update on restaurant improvements — what's happened, what's happening and what's yet to be done
It may seem like the improvements at the Main Street Grille are never-ending. But, there is an end in sight, says owner Larry Owens. "Everything is just kind of coming together," Owens said. "I can see light at the end of the tunnel." North Canton Patch first reported on the restaurant's updates in July 2011, when it closed for three weeks to renovate the floors and bathrooms, which now have new wallpaper, subway tile and full mirrors. And from there, the improvements kept right on coming. The restaurant has added about 40-45 more seats by opening up the "New Berlin Room" on the building's very south side. New floors and up-to-date bathrooms are just a couple renovations customers will notice at the Main Street Grille
After a three-week break for renovations, the Main Street Grille will open at 4 p.m. today and feature live music by Tim Hunt tonight. Owner Larry Owens said many of the updates might go unnoticed by customers, but the ones they really might like are the up-to-date bathrooms and new flooring. "The bathrooms were dated," Owens said. "So we completely renovated them so we have new wallpaper, subway tile in them and full mirrors. That's probably the biggest thing the customer will notice." He said the side of the restaurant that had strictly tables and no booths used to be carpeted.
