If two thieves who targeted the Washington Square Giant Eagle May 5 teamed up, they could throw one heck of a party. Within hours of each other Saturday, two people had strolled out of the grocery store with about $175 in alcohol. We're talking four 12-packs of Miller High Life and four 12-packs of Rolling Rock ($75) for one person and four 24-packs of Budweiser, one 12-pack of Milwaukee Ice and one bottle of wine ($95, including a bag of Dad's dog food and some dish soap).
