Newest North Canton City Schools 'Educator of the Month' Announced

The monthly award honors a North Canton City Schools staff member who exemplifies excellence in education in their interaction with students, parents and other staff members.

The North Canton Area Chamber, Westfield Bank and Starbucks congratulated Ann Bradway, May’s “Educator of the Month” award winner, according to a prepared statement.  During the course of the 2012-2013 award cycle persons from each of the district’s buildings were honored. Each monthly winner received a plaque and a Starbucks gift basket, which included a copy of CEO Howard Schultz’ "Onward" book. Schultz initiated Starbucks’ “Empowering Educators” program to highlight educators and school systems making a difference in the lives of their students and communities.

Darlene Howald: Teacher Spotlight

Howald received the Educator of the Month Award through the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce and Westfield Bank Thursday

The North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce and Westfield Bank surprised science teacher Darlene Howald at North Canton Middle School Thursday with the Educator of the Month Award. Having just shot a cannon out the back of a moving truck as a project on perspective (don't worry, she said she's got video of it), Howald thought she was being called to the front desk that morning to wrap up issues with North Canton police. Carol Couch: Teacher Spotlight

Carol Couch is the first Educator of the Month through the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce and Westfield Bank. We dug up five things you may not have known about her.
