Earth Day is on April 22 ... are you hosting an event?
Is your business or organization hosting an Earth Day event this year? Want to tell the community about it? Post it on Patch. Community members are welcome to post events directly to our calendar — you can even add photos, videos and PDFs. There are a few ground rules, of course: Our full Terms of Use can be found here. It's Earth Month, so we want to know what people around North Canton are doing to be good to the Earth. We met Uniontown resident Natalie Lorenzo outside the North Canton YMCA today and asked her what she's done to reduce, reuse and recycle. With our "You Said It!" video features, we find folks around town and get their take on one issue.

Families enjoyed mock fossil digs, erupting volcano demonstrations, nature hikes and more at the annual celebration at the Kent State University Stark Campus
The Kent State University Stark Campus hosted its annual Earth Day Celebration Sunday afternoon and welcomed dozens of families for a day of education and fun. Kids played in sandboxes (or were they archaeological digs?), jumped through fields during sack races, watched erupting volcano demonstrations and tons more. Cain Toyota had a shiny new Toyota Prius on the grounds, while other organizations and student groups set up information tables near the Campus Center parking lot. Kent Stark Dean Walter Wagor also accepted the campus' second Tree Campus USA award from the National Arbor Day Foundation that day.
