Violent Crime: How Does North Canton Stack Up Against Cities of Similar Size?

North Canton is in line with most cities of similar size when it comes to violent crime. It pretty much fell right down the middle when compared to cities like Defiance, Tallmadge, New Philadelphia and Twinsburg when looking at 2011 crime stats recently released by the FBI. But, North Canton did fall into the top half of the spectrum (reporting more crime) for burglaries and aggravated assaults. Violent crime includes murder and non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault. The property crime stats include burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft and arson.
