North Canton Public Library Offers Another Way to Unwind: Yoga

Relaxation doesn't just revolve around reading at the North Canton Public Library. Patrons can unwind with yoga classes throughout March.

Wait, yoga? At the library? It's no joke. Yoga is making its way to the North Canton Public Library in March, with three free lunchtime sessions taking place in the library's basement meeting room. "We have already had several people asking about it and expressing interest, which is great," said Cathy Morgan, adult programming coordinator and reference librarian. "I think people are really looking for fun, free programming to beat the winter blues." The 11:30 a.m. classes take place March 11, 18 and 25. Instructor Janet O'Brien has practiced iyengar yoga for 14 years and instructed for eight. (Iyengar yoga places emphasis on precision and alignment.) WATCH: Graveyard Rockers 'A Scream' For Library Patrons

The band performed monster hits inside the North Canton Public Library Thursday night

The North Canton Public Library was rocking Thursday night as the Graveyard Rockers performed monster hits for an audience of parents and kids. Kids, dressed in their Halloween costumes, danced to songs like the Monster Mash and other slightly altered favorites like Hang on Spooky. "It was just a wonderful evening, a lot of energy," Reference librarian Cathy Morgan said. "They played all kinds of different Halloween songs and got participants of all ages involved through dancing, singing, being zombies ... You name it, they did it."
