A 15-year-old girl was arrested for being unruly and possessing an intoxicating liquor while underage after her mother dropped her off at the North Canton Police Department about 9 p.m. Monday. A parent of one of the teen's friends had taken the girl to her home in the 200 block of Sheraton Drive NW. The girl was "highly intoxicated" and acting out, according to the police report, so the mom drove her to the police station. Police suspected the teen may have had alcohol poisoning, according to the report. A Beloit woman was banned from Marc's at 1664 N. Main St. for shoplifting, but that didn't stop her from returning to the store to try it again. North Canton police issued a summons to appear in court to an 18-year-old woman after she lied to them and fought with them at her home in the 900 block of Dogwood Avenue NE Wednesday. Police arrived at her home to serve warrants on her boyfriend, and the woman ran to the upstairs bedroom and attempted to warn her boyfriend. That's when she started fighting with officers as they removed her from the bedroom. The incident occurred about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported. A North Canton teen made off with the tip jar at the Starbucks drive-thru this week but was caught a short time later
Recent charges against a North Canton teen who stole a tip jar at the Washington Square Starbucks should serve as a warning for those who also are thinking of grabbing more than just some morning java. A quick-thinking barista was able to write down the teen's license number when she noticed the jar was no longer at the drive-thru window about 1 p.m. Monday. Police responded and later tracked the teen back to his home, according to a report from the North Canton Police Department. The 17-year-old is charged with one count of theft, a minor misdemeanor. The jar itself was only worth a couple bucks, but it contained about $35 that afternoon.
