The restaurant, now on North Main Street, will move to Washington Square in the spring, making way for a new look, extended hours and menu changes
The folks at B.A.M. Healthy Cuisine know a little something about getting by with what you've been given. Tucked inside a small brick building with a hearing aide supplier and Koala Kruisers transportation service, the health food restaurant boasts around 1,000 square feet. In the summer, open doors and a breeze act as a makeshift air conditioner, and in the winter, the heat from the kitchen maintains a comfortable temperature in the dining room. It's gone without those "creature comforts" since it opened at the site of a former pizza place about eight years ago, but soon it will see some big improvements. Come spring, B.A.M. (Body and Mind) Healthy Cuisine will find its new home inside the building that's being erected at Washington …

McKinley Development announced the third tenant to occupy a space in the new Washington Square building with B.A.M. Healthy Cuisine and the Winking Lizard.
The third tenant in the new Washington Square building didn't have to travel far to get to its new home. In fact, the new tenant is just a stone's throw away from its current location. Verizon Wireless will move in this year, leaving an empty space where it now resides in the Washington Square plaza. Beth Borda, spokeswoman for McKinley Development, said the move will help make the cellphone provider more visible to customers. "The buildings that are closer to the road are typically filled with tenants (whose customers) a lot of the times aren't necessarily planning on going to the cellular store, but they see it there," she said. "They just believe that, because of the increased exposure, that's where they want to be." According to the …

A Winking Lizard restaurant will be built at Washington Square in North Canton. Let us know if you're a fan of the traditional American restaurant known for its wings and craft beer selection.
Those Winking Lizard fans who live in North Canton will have to drive to the Canton location for their wings and craft beer no longer. The city is slated to get its own Winking Lizard restaurant at Washington Square on the west side of Handel's, and progress at the site already is underway, said Economic Development Director Eric Bowles. Work crews can be seen prepping the area, where the ground is plowed and fenced off. Bowles was unsure this week about the restaurant's number of employees, estimated payroll and when it is slated to open. Check back with North Canton Patch as we get more information about the arrival of the Winking Lizard restaurant to North Canton. There's more action happening at Washington Square, though, Bowles said. …

Do you know what the B.A.M. stands for?
We weren't quite sure if the B.A.M. in B.A.M. Healthy Cuisine was an accronym, an exclamation or someone's initials. So we made a call. B.A.M. Manager Matt Ciraci says the North Canton restaurant featuring healthy wraps, salads and smoothies got its name from the phrase "body and mind." And now you know. Did you catch our last Friday Fact about why the Akron-Canton Airport goes by CAK?
