North Canton Playhouse Center
330-456-3186
The North Canton Playhouse Center is a charitable and educational institution for the promotion of theatrical arts in the Northeastern Ohio area. The theater features entertaining and sometimes boundary-pushing works each year, including musical and youth theater, dramas, cult classics and holiday specials. Audition opportunities are offered frequently. The center runs outreach programs related to youth issues and education, senior citizens and people with disabilities. Dinner theater, field trip theater and Girl Scout theater programs are also offered.
This center was founded by Leonard and Mary McManaway and John and Sue Leonetti and is run by a volunteer board of trustees, a mostly volunteer staff and Mrs. McManaway. Shows are at 8pm and matinee shows are at 2:30pm. The theater opens for seating 30 minutes before a show starts.
