Thirty Local Restaurants Gather Under One Roof For Taste of North Canton

And just what does that mean for those who attend Wednesday's event? Well, you get to eat at more than two dozen restaurants in one night, for starters.

Those who arrive at the Wednesday night will get to sample the best of the city's grub, slice by slice and bite by bite.

Owners and employees from more than 30 area restaurants will be on hand, passing out samples of their popular dishes that night.

"If each one gives you a tiny sample, that’s a buffet," said Vicki Stanley, founder of New Work City Foundation, which has hosted the annual event for four years now.

The event takes place from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Wednesday and costs $10 for adults. Kids ages 6-12 are $5 and those 5 and under are free. Tickets are available through Stanley by calling 330-323-5745, and you can also pay at the door.

If the thought of sampling 30 different restaurants' dishes doesn't entice you enough, there's a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and "cash cube." Plus,  will take the stage to entertain diners. They were a huge hit last year, Stanley said.

"I know there’s going to come a time when they’re going to be famous," she said. "They’re going to be in L.A. and we can say 'We knew them when.'"

The event has grown so popular that Stanley enlisted the help of shuttle buses to get folks from the and to the Fairways.

And this year, IDEA House educational service provider will benefit from the event. It will receive a $2,500 grant from New Work City Foundation, with that money coming from the night's proceeds. IDEA House will then match the grant to hire an instructor at the center, which focuses on providing services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Stanley urges everyone to stop out Wednesday for food and fun.

"It's a great family night," she added.
