Those who signed up for the got a chance to show off their flags for the first time for Labor Day.
The flags were distributed this past weekend and will be out until Sept. 15.
"If you drive around in town the flags look absolutely amazing," said Megan Bishop, North Canton Rotary Club member.
Participation in the program costs $25 and involves a civic organization (Boy or Girl Scouts or Booster Club members, for instance) placing flags in the yards of those residents and business owners who've signed up.
The flag would fly from the Saturday before the holiday until the Saturday after the holiday. Holidays include Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4, Labor Day through Sept. 11, and Veterans Day.
So far, North Canton Rotary Club members have sold 132 flags and hope to continue selling the flags throughout the year.
Money raised through the Fly the Flag program will go toward community projects.
