Families staked out their spots with blankets and lawn chairs for the parade as the July 4 race was wrapping up Wednesday morning.
The police officers leading the parade were greeted with cheers (except for those youngsters who covered their ears from the sirens). There were floats, athletes, Corvettes and lots of candy for the grabbing.
