North Canton Falls Short in First Game of Junior League World Series

The North Canton Little League team lost 7-6 to Rockledge, FL, Monday but continues with games throughout the week

The North Canton Little League team started off strong but fell short in its first game of the Junior League World Series Monday.

North Canton, USA Central champion, held a 4-0 lead against Rockledge, FL, the USA Southeast team, early on but ultimately lost 7-6, according to a story from FloridaToday.com.

The round-robin games, which take place in Taylor, MI, pit five USA teams against one another and five international teams against one another. The 2012 world championship game takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday and is televised live on ESPN2.
