Main Street Festival Marching This Way

North Canton's Main Street will soon be transformed into an outdoor party zone that families and folks of all ages can enjoy.

Live music, rides and entertainment?

Check. Check. Check.

Dozens of food vendors, face painting and family fun?

Yes. Yep. You bet.

The 2013 North Canton Main Street Festival, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, is around the corner and plans are just about finalized, according to Chamber president Doug Lane.

Main Street Festival schedule of events

“This year promises to be two days of family fun for the community with music, food, car shows, rides, kids activities and more," said Lane. "We’re in the home stretch of putting all the Festival pieces together and don’t want to leave anyone out. If a non-profit organization, business, candidate, artisan/crafter or financial supporter is interested in participating they should visit our website and fill out the appropriate form.”

The festival is set to run from Aug. 17-18.

Main Street, from Charlotte Street NW to Bachtel Street SE (final cutoff is the Zion United Church of Christ) will be closed during the annual event, said Lane.

Detour signage will be posted.
