Trick or Treat 2012

It's our first Halloween in North Canton and it was already off to a rocky start when I couldn't find THE costume my 7-year-old just HAD TO HAVE. He wanted to be a dog- specifically a black and tan dachshund. Yeah so. Thankfull we found an ill-fitting mouse costume for him that he decided was totally what he really wanted to be after all. The Chucks are a nice touch, I think.

We were surprised to find that trick or treating is done on Sunday in the daylight... what? We're used to the whole night of the 31st in the dark, with all the spooky sounds and lights and Jack o' lanterns. But we're gonna roll with it and try this new thing out. Unfortunately it was super rainy and cold, and, like, no one on our street had their porch light on signaling they were passing out candy.

We put a bowl of Sour Patch Kids & Angry Bird Gummies out on our porch- just in case any kids came by- and headed for the Boo at the Zoo. (By the way, where we're from? There would be nothing left in that bowl, probably by the second kid. Here- there was still some candy in it when we got home! Ohioans are so nice!)
