Thousands Descending Upon North Canton for July Fourth Race

The annual North Canton YMCA July 4th Race is the longest-running race in Stark County.

For the 36th year in a row, thousands of people from across the region will line up on North Main Street and participate in the annual North Canton YMCA July Fourth Race.

Over 3,000 runners of all ages are expected to run on the 2-mile or 5-mile course, which will take them down the city's most recognizable streets and landmarks.

The event will welcome all abilities, from recreational to competitive walkers to runners and wheelchair athletes, according to race director Debbie Goldthorpe.
