North Canton Mayor's Fishing Rodeo Casts off June 1

The family-friendly annual event will be held at Price Park pond.

Grab your reel and fishing tackle; it's time for the annual North Canton Mayor's Fishing Rodeo. 

The family-friendly event will be held Saturday June 1 at Price Park pond, according to North Canton Mayor David Held.

Registration will run from 8 to 9 a.m. the day of the event. The competition will then kick off shortly after 9 a.m.

Children ages 2 to 12 who live in the North Canton school district are invited to join the rodeo, said Held. 

Prizes will be handed out for those participants who catch the biggest catfish.

Refreshments will also be served.
