Hoover's Lady Vikings Advance to Regional Playoffs

The Hoover High School girls' softball team (30-0) is showing no signs of slowing.

The Hoover High School girls' softball team is about as familiar with losing as it is with quantum physics.

On Wednesday, the Lady Vikings owned the Division I district final at Massillon's Washington High School when they went on to defeat Louisville 5-1.

Tara Thacker (18-0) kept the Leopards' bats on ice with a dozen strikeouts, while Andi Farrah's hot bat led to three hits, including an RBI double and three runs scored, reports the Canton Repository.
