Girls on the Run Prep for 5K: Photo of the Day
Talk about champs! These young runners from Orchard Hill Elementary braved the elements last week to train for an upcoming race in Lake Cable.
This group of students suited up in their ponchos and running shoes and set off to practice for a 5K last week.
Girls on the Run, a 10-week after-school program, is designed to teach girls in grades three through eight how to love and value themselves through training for a 5K run.
This group of girls are training for the Dick's Horseradish 5K Race at Lake Cable in Canton, which takes place at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13. The race benefits the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank and YMCA of Central Stark County.
