East Football and Cheer is getting ready for its biggest money-maker of the year — its Reverse Raffle Fundraiser, happening at Walsh University's Barrett Business and Community Center Feb. 16.
The event, which takes place from 6 p.m.-10 p.m., costs $60 and includes one raffle entry and dinner for two. An additional raffle entry is $60.
Participants have the chance to win a grand prize of $1,000 or 15 percent of ticket sales, whichever is greater.
East Football President Chris Pierpont said the event raises money to buy equipment and uniforms for the football and cheerleading programs.
"East Football and Cheer offers children in grades 2 through 7 an opportunity to excel in athletics as part of the North Canton Youth Football Association," Pierpont said. "Uniform and equipment replacement is costly, and we strive to keep registration costs down to encourage participation."
