WATCH: Orchard Hill Students Help Set Cup-Stacking World Record

Students at Orchard Hill Intermediate School — 395 to be exact — took part in the World Sport Stacking Association's 2012 Stack Up! event Thursday

The students at Orchard Hill Intermediate School are going down in the record books.

395 North Canton students took part Thursday in the World Sport Stacking Association's 2012 Stack Up! event. They joined other students from around the world to beat last year's record for the most people stacking cups throughout the span of one whole day.

Last year, 412,259 people took part. A total of 450,000 people were expected to participate Thursday.

If they topped last year's number, that means they've broken the Guiness World Record.

Physical education teacher Jan Bremer led every single class, from morning through the end of the school day, in several stacking events.

Cup stacking, she said, is not only a fun activity for the students, but it also helps with their hand-eye coordination.
