Video: Kent State Stark Earth Day Celebration

Families enjoyed mock fossil digs, erupting volcano demonstrations, nature hikes and more at the annual celebration at the Kent State University Stark Campus

The hosted its annual Earth Day Celebration Sunday afternoon and welcomed dozens of families for a day of education and fun. Kids played in sandboxes (or were they archaeological digs?), jumped through fields during sack races, watched erupting volcano demonstrations and tons more.

had a shiny new Toyota Prius on the grounds, while other organizations and student groups set up information tables near the Campus Center parking lot.

Kent Stark also accepted the campus' second Tree Campus USA award from the National Arbor Day Foundation that day.
