School Board Approves Hoover High Associate Principal as District’s Business Manager

Todd Henne will step into his new role as business manager in March 2012

Todd Henne, associate principal at , will step into the role of North Canton City School District's business manager next year.

Henne will replace John Stanley, who and expressed his desire to transition someone into the position before he retires in March 2012.

North Canton Board of Education member Chris Goldthorpe was part of the selection committee that chose Henne from 26 applicants. They narrowed those 26 candidates to 12 and then four finalists, and Goldthorpe said Henne stood out among the bunch.

With no experience as a business manager, Henne brings with him other positive qualities that will help him do his job effectively, Goldthorpe said at Thursday night's Board of Education meeting.

“In terms of the intangibles, Todd brought more preparation, organization, enthusiasm and passion for the job than any of the other candidates did, without a doubt.”

The board unanimously approved Henne as business manager, effective March 1, 2012.

Henne told North Canton Patch after the meeting that he looks forward to helping nearly 5,000 students and staff “at a very important time for the district.”

He said the district intends to fill his position as one of three associate principals at Hoover High.
