"Time is an unstoppable force, but you aren't," Zhang said. "Take advantage of all the opportunities you have in high school."

senior Taylor Zhang, who was named salutatorian of his class, shared with us what he'll miss about high school, which teacher helped him most and a little oddity about himself.

North Canton Patch: What will you miss most about high school?

Zhang: I'll definitely miss all the friends I've made throughout the years. I'm a very nostalgic person and I'll probably try my best to not forget all the fun times I've had here at North Canton.

North Canton Patch: What are you looking forward to in moving on to college?

Zhang: College gives you a huge amount of freedom. In high school (at least our high school) we have to follow the exact same schedule every day, we have to follow a curriculum, and our classes have teaching styles that are very conservative (not in the political sense).

North Canton Patch: What advice would you give to underclassmen?

Zhang: Time is an unstoppable force, but you aren't. Take advantage of all the opportunities you have in high school, because one day you'll realize you won't have that chance anymore.

North Canton Patch: What was your favorite high school class?

Zhang: My favorite class content-wise would have to be between Mr. Wood's AP Chemistry class and Mr. Collier's AP American History class. Both teachers showed intense enthusiasm in their respective subjects, which made myself appreciate the content even more. My favorite class in general would have been AP U.S. Government with Mrs. Bowman; it was an enlightening and hilarious time.

North Canton Patch: What clubs or extracurriculars were you involved in?

Zhang: National Honor Society, Class Treasurer, Aultman Volunteer, Akron Youth Symphony, Orchestra, Cross Country, Track, Freshmen Mentor, Model UN, Academic

North Canton Patch: What teacher has been most helpful?

Zhang: My most helpful teacher would have to be Mrs. Leckie-Ewing, who has proofread many (too many) of my college and scholarship essays, as well as planning things with the class officers. I would also have to mention Miss Walker and Mr. Wood for writing my recommendation letters for a ton of different scholarships.

North Canton Patch: Tell us a fun fact about you.

Zhang: I absolutely despise frosting.
