Photos: Boot Scootin' Barbeque at Hoover Park

If you like barbecue food, line dancing, horses and good causes, this event was for you. Check out the gallery to see what the Walsh University event was like.

The Women's Committee held this years at Walsh's Hoover Park pavilion Friday. The event drew about 100 guests who were treated to appetizers, a barbecue dinner from the Old Carolina BBQ company, cowboy portraits from Cosma Photography, line dancing and horse-drawn carriage rides.

The Women's committee raises funds every year to award a scholarship to a deserving student. This is the fifth year of the barbecue, but the committee has given scholarships out for the past 25 years. The event also serves as a mixer for new students and their parents.

There is no need to be a Walsh alumni to be a part of the Women's Committee. They welcome anyone who is interested in helping students at Walsh University succeed.
