Nancy Bundy and Jordan Greenwald Bid Adieu to Board of Education

The two attended their final meeting as North Canton City School Board members Thursday night

Nancy Bundy and reflected on their years on North Canton City Schools’ Board of Education at their last board meeting Thursday night.

Bundy, a member for 12 years, chose not to run for re-election this year, while Greenwald, board president and member for four years, was in which .

Superintendent Michael Gallina had kind words for both, praising Bundy for her 12 years served, and crediting Greenwald for serving as board president during a difficult financial time for the district.

“We certainly appreciate your leadership as president and the fatherly approach you bring to things here, always reflecting through your children’s eyes and your wife’s eyes what’s going on in the district,” Gallina told Greenwald.

Greenwald said his best moments as a board member took place outside the board meetings when he took part in many school activities, such as speaking at ’s graduation and attending award ceremonies.

“You never realize what goes on in the district until you go to a dinner or celebration,” he said.

Bundy took a moment to address the Board that night, too.

“Whatever little things I’ve given, I have gotten so much more back,” she said. “I have been educated. I have been challenged. I have been inspired. I’ve been awestruck. I’ve been befriended. I’ve been entertained. But mostly I’ve just been touched by the incredible people and by the thousands of kids I’ve gotten to see graduate and their lives enriched by being here every day.”

Bundy addressed and , who will take a seat on the board after winning in the November election.

“For you two who are coming on, you don’t know how good it is until you get on. You experience great things.”
