How to Get Involved with Girls on the Run
The volunteer-based organization will host a variety of events this month to keep the program growing throughout Stark County
The focus of Girls on the Run of Stark County is to help girls realize they can accomplish any goal they set for themselves, says Patty Lovell, who started the Stark County chapter in 2009.
However, the volunteer-based organization needs donations in order to assist girls in achieving personal success.
Throughout August, the group will host the following fundraisers:

United Way Day of Caring
Aug. 18, 4 p.m.-8 p.m. – , 6073 Dressler Rd. NW, Canton

Benefit Wine Tasting
Aug. 27, 7 p.m. – Maize Valley Winery, 6193 Edison St. NE, Hartville
Cost: $25 ($12 tax deductible) and includes wine sampling, appetizers, music and chance to bid on gift baskets

Fishers Community Awards
If 50 cardholders register for community rewards, Fishers will donate to the organization at no cost to cardholders.
