Hoover High Soccer Team Falls to Stow, 4-2

The Bulldogs sent in three goals in the first half to get an early lead on the Vikings Thursday night

The Hoover High Vikings fell to the Stow Bulldogs in a Thursday night soccer match on the Vikings' home turf.

Stow (4-7-2) pulled out the win over the Vikings (7-4-3), beating them 4-2.

Hoover High coach Neil Baastan told the Akron Beacon Journal Stow did a great job winning free balls to create scoring opportunities that night.

“The first 20 or 25 minutes, they outhustled us,” Baastan told the Beacon. “They beat us to the ball. They were getting to balls before us and before we knew it, we were down 3-0. Stow deserved it tonight.”
