Get Involved in Walsh's Fit Family Race 5K and Kids Fun Run

The events take place Oct. 1 at the university's Cecchini Wellness Center

will host the inaugural 2011 Fit Family Race 5k Run and Kids’ Fun Run on Oct. 1 at the university's Cecchini Wellness Center.

Event day registration for this Subway Challenge Series race begins at 7:15 a.m. Both runners and walkers are welcome to participate.

“We are looking forward to a successful inaugural event,” said Megan Burrowbridge Donaldson, assistant professor in the physical therapy department at Walsh University. “The morning event is about reminding individuals and families about the importance of exercise. We are also very excited about being a part of the 2011 Subway Challenge.”

Local Subways will provide lunch after the event and there are many prizes available for the different age categories of runners and walkers. Cost of the event is $25 for adults and $20 for the Kids’ Fun Run.
