Conference: “Surviving and Thriving in Stark County – an initiative to reduce poverty”

The Stark State College Education and Human Services Division will host a conference called “Surviving and Thriving in Stark County – an initiative to reduce poverty” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18 in the University Center at Kent State University at Stark. The cost is $40 includes continental breakfast, lunch and the book, “Bridges to Sustainable Communities.”

Continuing education units are included for social workers, counselors and nurses. The registration deadline is Nov. 1. For information, email clong@starkstate.edu or call 330-494-6170, ext. 4491.
