TV11 Plans to Air Veterans Day Video Starting Nov. 13

North Canton City School District's TV11 is now putting together the video, which includes dozens of photos of your favorite veterans

TV production students at Hoover High are hard at work putting together a Veterans Day video that will air on TV11 — a video that will showcase dozens of veterans and active military personnel from the North Canton area.

Students wrote letters to veterans — some past, some present, and some veterans the students knew, and some they didn't. And about five of those letters will be read as a part of the 10-12 minute Veterans Day video.

"All the ones we've selected tend to have a personal story to it, which is really neat," video productions instructor Tom Wilson said.

The reading of those letters will play over top of the photos sent in by community members.

Wilson said the school received a great number of photos. In fact, they kept pouring in after the deadline of Oct. 26.

Students are working on the submitted photos right now and hope to have that portion wrapped up today. Then, on Monday, they'll begin putting together the video.

Wilson said he's received some inquiries about whether the school district will host a Veterans Day event. The answer is no, but the Veterans Day video will begin running on the district's TV11 beginning Nov. 13 as a tribute to local veterans. That video will also be available on the North Canton City School District's website
