State Champs Lead Hoover Youth Softball Clinic March 17

Leading this year's clinic are two Hoover High state champions and MCAA Division 1 college players Katie Chain Miller and Sarah Gerber

The spring sports season is heating up already in North Canton.

Athletes now have the chance right to sign up for the annual North Canton Hoover Youth Softball Clinic, which will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 17 inside the Hoover High gymnasium.

The clinic is for girls in grades three through eight and costs $35 for early registration (postmarked by March 9). Early-registered participants will receive a camp T-shirt. Those registering after March 9 will pay $40. Registrations will be accepted on the day of camp, and no refunds will be issued after March 9.

Two past North Canton Hoover state champions and NCAA Division 1 college players — Katie Chain Miller and Sarah Gerber — will give special instruction at the clinic.

Interested in signing up? You can print out the sign-up form from the .pdfs section of this update, or head to the North Canton Hoover Vikings Softball Team's website

Are you a parent or fan who never misses a game? Check in with North Canton Patch Editor Morgan Day (at Morgan.Day@patch.com) about blogging on the site! It could be as little as posting a photo and the score, or as extensive as writing a play-by-play account of the game.
