2 Hoover High Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

Students in the running for a piece of $34 million in scholarships

Two students have been named among 16,000 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists across the country.

Parker J. Adams and Anne K. Flaherty are in the running for a piece of the $34 million in National Merit scholarships that will be awarded this spring.

Semifinalist ranking is based on the students' scores on pre-SAT and pre-ACT scores. To become a finalist, students' SAT or ACT scores must reflect the pre-test scores and they must have outstanding academic records and recommendations from their school principals.
