Jackson Food Fest Balloon Classic
Balloons lifted off Sunday at Kent State Stark. Check out the photo gallery to see some of the designs and wonderful sunrise!
I attended Sunday morning's Balloon Classic at Kent State Stark/Stark State. The balloons started lifting off just after the sunrise at 6:30am. The event was emcee'd by local balloon enthusiest Bill Smith.
Some balloons started from the grounds of Kent Stark, but most of the balloons took off just south west of the campus as part of the skills competition. These competing balloons flew over the main portion of the crowd in an attempt to drop a marker from thier balloon onto a large while X on the field. The balloons can be "steered" by using different elevations and different wind currents.
