Prior to North Canton we moved from Oklahoma, where Dan was in the military service. Dan continues to serve with the Ohio Army National Guard here in North Canton as a full-time staff. We have lived strong values and moral ethics and strive to teach these to our children. We believe in the city's motto “Pride In Our Past, Hope For Our Future."

The North Canton City Council needs to bring back the sense of community and honesty sought by the residents of North Canton. The residents want honest answers about the problems and issues they have and the city is facing. As a resident myself, and recent flood victim from the Fairways Golf Course, I have seen the many struggles our residents face when a situation arises in their back yard. I have found that it is important to be a part of the solution to the issues and confront these issues head on. It may be difficult at times to hear, but I won’t tell you you’re right and I’m wrong just to ease the pain. I will be honest and communicate the position of the city and residents to the City Council and administration to move the city of North Canton forward as one entity.

There are many historical and present issues that are affecting the city’s residents and it is important to address these issues and provide processes that will keep the city proactive toward a healthy future. If I am elected to council I will place the residents of North Canton as top priority, giving them the voice that is needed to be heard and seek answers for those who cannot, bring back our small-town feel and strong value heritage.

Budget: It is going be vital over the next two years for the city of North Canton to work with local municipalities and townships to combine resources and seek the $45 million in state grants to subsidize lost state aid to local and school budgets. Working with local municipalities and townships to share the financial burdens we face today will increase North Canton as a vital role player in Stark County and show the importance of teamwork to new businesses who want to develop in our community.

Our family wants your voice to be heard and your vote in me will ensure it does!
