North Canton Memorial Stadium could get the "wow" factor if the school board approves the installation of an LED graphics board for the scoreboard.
The North Canton City Schools Board of Education is set to meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the Hoover High Media Center and discuss the graphics board installation as well as the installation of a new speaker for the stadium.
The LED graphics board would be installed by Adams Signs at a cost not to exceed $19,000, paid from the district's cell tower account. And Staley Technologies would install the speaker, also covered by the district's cell tower account. The speaker would cost no more than $20,000.
Also on the agenda is the acceptance of a gift — a TV news and weather set donated from Chennel 5 WEWS in Cleveland. The set would be used by the the Channel 11 video productions program at Hoover High.
The board will also look at several supplemental and limited contracts for the 2012-2013 school year.
