Patch is Collecting Questions for Obama and Romney During the Next Presidential Debate

If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

I would ask Mitt Romney: "With all due respect Mr. Romney, why did you lie in the first debate about 3-4 times more often than President Obama. Fact checkers and leading media outlets like the Associated Press have shown you lied at least 27 times in the 38 minutes you spoke. You told blatant inaccuracies about your healthcare plan, about unemployment figures and other topics. I thought the Republican Party was the party of integrity. With all of your lying, how can American voters expect you to tell the truth with your promises to them -- should you win the election? "

Mr. Roimney Do you really think all Americans are as stupid as you think we are? Do you think we cannot see for ourselves how you lie, distort the truth and that you are rude, overbearing and have no respect for anyone outside your own party? Have you ever thought about telling us about your progams in detail and stop lying? We are not the idiots you make us out to be.

Mr. Obama, why did you lie in 2008 when you ran for office? Why have you lied for four years to us? How do you defend the fact you didn't keep your promises? - You said your campaign would not accept public campaign financing. - You said Minimum wage would increase to $9.50 - You said you'd have the most transparent administration in history - You said you're remove earmarks from any legislation passed - You said you wouldn't raise taxes on anyone making less than $250k/year - You said Guantanamo would be closed in a year - You said unemployment would be under 8.5% without stimulus - You've been cooking the books on unemployment figures since day one - You said the healthcare package would pay for itself - You said Obama care is not a new tax I could go on and on, but frankly how do you justify pointing a finger at Romney and accusing him of lying, when you have done the very same for the last four years? See folks - apparently it's okay if Obama lies.

Mr. Romney, in your first debate, you said you didn’t plan a huge tax cut for all Americans, including millionaires and billionaires. However, this is contrary to your own videotaped comments a few months ago when you said: “We are going to cut taxes on everyone across the country by 20 percent, including the top 1 percent. “ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJzUQwJFW7k Which is the truth, Mr. Romney, and why did you lie? Mr. Romney, you said that your healthcare plan will cover pre-existing conditions, while leading news media and your own campaign have said this is FALSE. Why did you LIE? http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/05/opinion/krugman-romneys-sick-joke.html?_r=0 http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/oct/05/mitt-romney/mitt-romney-says-his-health-care-plan-covers-pre-e/ Mr. Romney, you own or have owned several bank accounts in Switzerland, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda, and you have control over where those funds go, as you have admitted. Why are you betting against America with those foreign funds? And, are you receiving any funds, directly or indirectly, from Communist China in support of your election? http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/2012/08/investigating-mitt-romney-offshore-accounts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9DVKWhPibw
