On the Agenda: Updating Park Regulations, Law Director Interviews & More

North Canton City Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight inside City Council Chambers. You'll find tonight's agenda along with this quick rundown of what's in store for tonight's meeting.

North Canton City Council is slated to talk about updates to city park regulations as well as a retention grant when members meet inside tonight. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Before recognition of visitors, council will have a voice vote authorizing the law director to proceed with the foreclosure of two city properties — 1408 Wilbur Drive NE and 319 Weber Ave. NE. At last week's meeting, Eric Bowles, superintendent of permits and inspection, said the owners owe a few thousand dollars for costs incurred by the city to mow the grass.

Also on the agenda is the third and final reading that would authorize the mayor to enter into an industrial and commercial retention , and the first reading of an ordinance that would require business owners to remove graffiti from their buildings or else face a civil penalty. ()

But first, council will meet in executive session at 6:15 p.m. to conduct interviews for the position of North Canton law director. The Personnel and Safety committee had , but this past week the committee added one more name — Tim Fox.

Fox, who won the Ward 3 council seat in November 2011, to apply for the position.
