On the Agenda: School Board Looks at City's Master Plan & More

The North Canton City Schools Board of Education will hear about the city's Master Plan at its meeting tonight. Read on to see what else is in store.

North Canton City Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the Media Center.

We've highlighted some agenda items for, but you can check out the full agenda in the PDFs section of this update.

  • Bill Strohmenger is slated to give a presentation about the , organized through the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative (CUDC). The plan is a community member-guided road map to bettering the city.
  • The board also will review recommendations for retirement for Ted Hall, dean of students at the Mary L. Evans Early Childhood Center; Carol Green, Hoover High School math teacher; and Beth Fromholtz, North Canton Middle School reading teacher.
  • The Board will look at authorizing District Business Manager Todd Henne to a handful of items (all listed on the agenda) in the future lease agreement between the and North Canton City Schools. The society is slated to move from the Charlotte Building to the Portage Building as a result of the Unified Elementary Design and raizing of the Charlotte Building.
  • Board members also expect to talk about the Unified Elementary Design, including and feedback they've gotten about the website.
