On the Agenda: 'Fly the Flag' Update, Ward 3 Council Interviews & More

North Canton City Council will begin its meeting of the whole at 7 p.m. Monday inside Council Chambers

North Canton City Council is entering the home stretch in picking a new Ward 3 council person, after the resignation of Tim Fox, who now is the city's first full-time law director.

Council will meet at 6:40 p.m. Monday in executive session to conduct interviews for the Ward 3 Council position. The meeting is not open to the public.

(Council plans to announce the next Ward 3 council person at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday inside Council Chambers during a special council meeting.)

Council will begin its meeting of the whole at 7 p.m. and will hear from North Canton Rotary Club member Megan Bishop, who will give an update on the Rotary Club's Fly the Flag program.

Participation in the program costs $25 and involves a civic organization placing flags in the yards of those residents and business owners who've signed up. The flag would fly from the Saturday before the holiday until the Saturday after the holiday. Holidays include Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4, Labor Day through Sept. 11, and Veterans Day.
