On the Agenda: Final Readings for Park Regulations, Graffiti Ordinance

North Canton City Council is likely to approve ordinances that would update park regulations to forbid private parking, and require graffiti to be cleaned off businesses in a timely manner

North Canton City Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight inside Council Chambers in City Hall and decide whether to approve a proposed graffiti ordinance and update city park regulations to forbid public parking.

Here's more:

  • Council is slated to have its final reading for the ordinance that would update the park regulations to forbid private parking. With the updated regulations, the city could ask the motorists to move their vehicles or have them towed from the park parking lot.
  • Council is also set to have its final reading on the city's proposed graffiti ordinance. At council's Oct. 1 meeting, City Law Director Tim Fox said the proposed graffiti ordinance had been updated to ensure the property's tenants and owners are informed of violations.
  • Recognition of visitors also will take place before council delves into the readings of its ordinances.
  • Council is slated to administer the oath of office for Stephanie Snow Werren, North Canton City Council's newest member.
