Purchase of City Vehicles, Police Department Restructuring: On the Agenda

North Canton City Council will meet tonight inside City Hall

Here's what's in store for tonight's North Canton City Council meeting: 

  • Council will meet at 6:15 p.m. and immediately move into executive session to discuss collective bargaining. Executive session is not open to the public.
  • Council will move into open session at 6:45 p.m. to consider authorizing legislation to accept or reject the Fact Finder's report.
  • And finally, the Council of the whole meeting will start at 7 p.m. Highlights include recognition of visitors and the second reading of a Special Housing Review Committee ordinance that would require property owners to register vacant properties with the city. Also on the agenda: the first reading of an ordinance that would allow the city to purchase two cruisers for the , and an ordinance that would and increase the number of sergeants at the department.
